Happy Holidays!

I do know Christmas is over but the greeting still stands because it is the last day of 2013! LOL~ I'm weird. So be it.

Anyways.. I would like to wish everyone a Happy New Year. Hopefully everyone has a better new year than me. I am sitting here typing as the layer of dust increases from the renovation... *cough cough*

Christmas was a quiet event. We had an awesome Christmas Eve dinner. It was steamboat and grill at my ILs.  I am still thinking about the grilled black pepper salt pork done by my MIL~ *slurps* Definitely looking forward to our reunion dinner for another round of steamboat and grill.
Spot the fresh abalone on the grill!
We had a wonderful Christmas, even though it wasn't much of a celebration for us. We went Gardens by the Bay for brunch and took a walk around the area. Quality time spent with the family is always a good plus!
Making peashooter faces while waiting for the rest to catch up
As we bid 2013 goodbye, I would like to count my blessings for the year... I have a wonderful husband and three beautiful kids. A wonderful home to shelter us (albeit a little(very) dusty at the moment). Supportive family and friends who we visited and visited us throughout the year. It has been an eventful year as the older two girls started their new schools respectively. And the challenges we faced as a family and individual.

I know I haven't really kick start the actual parts of this blog.. But... *let me use a colloquial term to describe this moment* AKAN DATANG! (coming soon in the cinemas near you...)

Let's get Jolly!

The school holidays seemed to have flew by!

I started off the school holidays with grand plans of doing stuff with the older two girls, but we ended up doing the completely opposite.. Diana had all sorts of classes till the last week of December.. Isabelle still has a last ballet class to attend the coming Monday.

However, we still managed to get in some fun.. (I definitely would like to think that way, even if the girls may think otherwise!)

What did we do?

We shopped... for Christmas presents, school supplies, Chinese New Year clothes and the list goes on
Wind breakers for the next school year
2014 Chinese New Year shoes

We played... imaginary games (because Mummy decided to cut down on TV time), lots of lego/duplo and with some outdoor play.
I want to learn how to play the piano too!
Accident waiting to happen...

We watched... some TV (we still do love TV!), Frozen (the movie).
Son is a star trek fan!

All cozy despite the heat!

We visited... with friends and family to remind ourselves of our love and friendship during this Christmas period.

Let's all be thankful this season... for the roof over our heads, family and friends at our sides, and the warm food in our bellies! What's your favourite part of the season? Mine's definitely the feasting! ..and there goes my rumbly tummy!
